"Excellent harmonies, crisp and startling piano play and real musical chops best sum up this Wilmington duo. If you’re lucky, they’ll play “Newborn” somewhere in their set.” "
- Rob Kalesse, Spark Magazine, Wilmington, DE, May 7, 2008
"Ange and Ris have a close harmony scheme that makes them sound as if they were overdubs of the same person. There are twin sisters that don’t blend this well vocally. The production on their record makes one picture Brian Wilson and Brian Eno listening with satisfaction or perhaps, envy. There are individual songs that could be played on new age shows, an others on Christian stations, but the music is universal and cannot be completely cornered. Fans of Enya, Kate Bush, Grey Eye Glances, Vienna Teng, and Sarah Mac’Lachlan will hear elements that they enjoy with out feeling that they are hearing mere clones. The Ange&Ris listening experience is (The Ange&Ris Listening Experience.)"

"Newborn, the first track on the album, is a beautiful start to an album filled with examples of Ange&Ris' musical ability; excellent harmonies, crisp and startling piano play, and real music. This track certainly deserves regular play on the old iTunes."

"[This] could easily appeal to fans of indie, alternative, and/or neo-folk music...Your voice(s) easily convey the emotion inherent in the lyrical narrative, which seems very personal and sincere...I am quite partial to the mixture of acoustic folk music and electronics. It's like combining elements of earth and nature with the vastness of outer space -- sounds and feels ancient and contemporary at the very same time. I love the way your arrangement ebbs and flows, striking a solid balance between classic song structure and someting much more freeform. It helps that your voice(s) literally soar through the arrangement, sounding at times like the wind or the sound of the wind as it passes through the branches of a pine tree... "

"Not Me is a compilation of creatively woven lyrics and sobering melodies that stop you in your tracks. Ange & Ris have distinguished themselves from even the most talented and well-established modern artists. "Not me" is hopefully part of your CD collection."
- Joy Ike - musician, Pittsburgh, PA, July 2007
"Ange&Ris are a 2-girl team. Influenced by the keys of Tori Amos, haunting melodies of Sarah McLachlan and fresh grooves of Dido, they produce a melded, feminine, captivating sound. Poetic lyrics pour from their fascination with Jesus, Tozer, C.S. Lewis and T.S. Elliot, as well as the faces of people in their daily lives. Imagine intense keyboarding and vocal harmonies coming together with creative beats and aesthetic, subtle electronica."
- Artist Ovation, May 13th, 2007
"Ange&Ris are fem singer-songwriters with a moody ambiance and searching lyrics. Behind the name: "You'd think we'd be in the business of creativity and come up with a creative name, but we just couldn't get any name to stick so we ended up with our own names by default." – Ange&Ris (talking on the phone, and in harmony)"

"Ange&Ris, they have an almost art/rock sound involving the harmonic style that only female voices can truly deliver. They are a piano based team; true up and comers."
- David Wannop, Philadelphia, June 2, 2006
“[Ange and Ris] captivated the audience with their beautiful harmonies and trance like drumming.”
