My outdoor wedding consisted of a short ceremony followed by an hour of cocktails through which Ange and Ris played all our requests plus traditional favorites. "Bill and I (and our guests) were thrilled with the musical accompaniment you provided for our wedding ceremony.  I really had my heart set on "Jessica" by the Allman Brothers for my "bridal march," but I was worried that without a full band, it would sound weird, and that the tempo wasn't quite right.  We went with it anyway, and we are so glad we did!  You were able to play the song in a way that it was totally recognizeable, but had a classy, beautiful and romantic sound to it instead of the rock'n'roll sound that the original version has.  We only picked songs for the actual ceremony, and left the selections for the pre and postludes up to you.  You picked songs that were perfect alongside the tunes we had already selected.  All day people were commenting on your beautiful voices and asking where we had found you!  Thank you for your professionalism and quality work."

“If you’ve never heard the mellow, soothing sounds of singer/songwriters Angela Sheikholeslami & Larisa Rios, you should. A cross between classical, folky, funky rhythms with sometimes haunting harmonies (you know, the kind that gives you goosebumps and makes you wish you could sing), Ange & Ris are sublimely talented, funny, friendly musicians. I hired Ange & Ris for several dates during a 24 week run of the Downtown Wilmington Farmers’ Market. This is an outdoor community event that takes place every Wednesday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.. Ange & Ris’s musical addition to the Market added a wonderful ambiance that made people want to linger. Their music was enjoyed by customers, vendors and staff of the Market.

They epitomize professionalism, from attitude to appearance to demeanor, and were always on time (actually early!) and required little assistance to set-up. As outdoor venues can sometimes be a challenge in terms of weather and other issues, Ange & Ris simply went with the flow of what was happening on any given Wednesday. Musically, they could quite easily, in my opinion, move fluidly from an elegant evening wedding to a late night blues festival.
